1. When is the Annual Business Meeting?Back to Top
The Annual Business Meeting will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 12 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)/Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) -7, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

2. Who can vote at the Annual Business Meeting?Back to Top
Only the proxyholders and Delegates at Large who completed the Credentials process during the acceptance period can vote at the Annual Business Meeting. These individuals are referred to as “voting delegates.”

3. How will I vote at the Annual Business Meeting?Back to Top
Voting will be conducted using an electronic voting system, which will be accessed through toastmasters.org. Onsite and online voting delegates will use their personal devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) to vote.

4. As a voting delegate, do I need to be onsite in Vancouver to submit my votes and participate in the Annual Business Meeting?Back to Top
No, voting delegates do not need to be onsite to submit their votes. Both onsite and online voting delegates will use the same electronic voting system, which will be accessed through toastmasters.org. Further, voting delegates who cannot attend onsite will receive a special link to an online webinar to view the meeting.
As a reminder, if you are unable to attend onsite, you will still need to attend online and cast your votes during the Annual Business Meeting. Voting delegates need to attend the entire Annual Business Meeting to vote on all matters put forth.

5. Will there be a training on how to vote?Back to Top
A video tutorial on how to access and use the electronic voting system will be available on toastmasters.org during the week of the convention. There will also be two live online-training sessions on the days leading up to the meeting.

6. Do I need to attend the entire Annual Business Meeting to vote?Back to Top
Yes, voting can occur at any point throughout the meeting. It is important that all voting delegates are present from start to finish.

7. How long will I have to vote on each election at the Annual Business Meeting?Back to Top
Voting for each election will be called individually by the chair and only remain open for a few minutes. The results for each vote will be announced after calculation and verification.

The voting results will be announced during the Annual Business Meeting.

Yes, general attendees can watch the Annual Business Meeting remotely through the live stream.
