What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

To support District leaders in achieving the District mission without doing work for them regardless of the region/District I come from. At work, as a leader, this is what I do with teams that I am responsible for delivering and achieving business goals. I am not limited to my team, as a leader, I need to solve problems for the business and cater to organization's success by contributing/overseeing/observing various aspects of business functioning. Share best practices with peers.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

As an Associate Director at my organization, I lead teams that are responsible for delivery and providing support to meet customer expectations. The team has people with varied experiences. In my one-on-one monthly meeting with them, I help them with their goal setting, personal and professional development, and career growth. I provide feedback as well as ask for feedback. This ensures a high-performing and engaging team helping the organization succeed.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

I have been passionate about sharing my experiences with upcoming leaders and offering them the learning/assistance they need to achieve District and personal success when asked. I believe, serving as Region Advisor will widen my network to whom I can mentor/guide and learn from them about different leadership and working styles. I will also get to learn about varied District cultures that make them unique and successful. I will get immense learning about the functioning of Toastmasters International.
