Club Officer Training, Round Two, Coming Soon! — The second round of club officer training begins November 1. District Central will begin accepting entries for club officer training after November 15.

Train Your Newly Chartered Club Leaders — It is beneficial to train all club officers, regardless of when their club is organized. New clubs that organize between July 1 and August 31 achieve credit towards their Distinguished Club Program goals for the first training session when four club officers are trained by an authorized District representative. Clubs that organize between October 1 and February 28/29 will receive club officer training credit for session one and two when at least four club officers attend session two training held November 1 through February 28/29.

Listen as the Board of Directors presents on key decisions, recent committee work, and the organization's vision and strategies for the future.

Clubs Worldwide Need Your Assistance! — A recent wave of natural disasters has dramatically impacted the ability of clubs to meet in Districts around the world. In the last year alone, the Ralph C. Smedley Memorial Fund® has been able to provide assistance to members affected by extreme weather events in the Philippines and Southern United States, the August 2020 Port of Beirut Explosion, and most recently, the war in Ukraine—all thanks to the generous contributions from members like you. But it doesn't stop there. The Smedley Fund relies on you to continue providing support to clubs where it is needed most. Please donate online as an individual to the Smedley Fund today; you can also email the team at smedleyfund@toastmasters.org.

Round One of Club Officer Training Due October 31 — The last day to enter club officer training through District Central is October 31. If corrections (removals) of training are needed, email the club name and club officer position(s) that need to be removed to districts@toastmasters.org for processing.

District Directors: District Elections — The District Leadership Committee (DLC) Chair must be appointed no later than November 1. Reference Protocol 9.0 for additional details. It is crucial that the appointment of the DLC chair and its members are appointed by the specified dates to ensure the validity of their work.

Need Help Creating Promo Materials? — Many clubs have already had promotional success using Canva to simply create event fliers, social media posts, and more—is your club one of them? If it hasn't already, your club can utilize one of several Canva versions or even another design tool; just remember, all content must be brand compliant. To make it even easier, utilize templates already created on Canva by World Headquarters. You can also use the Brand Manual to learn best practices. Have fun and submit your designs to brand@toastmasters.org for review/approval.

The Treasure Chest Within Base Camp — The Tutorials and Resources section is the portion of Base Camp that is overflowing with information and forms that you may need on a regular basis. Chances are you will find exactly what you are looking for.

Area Directors: Conduct an Effective Club Visit — Support your clubs and understand their needs through quality club visits. Serving Clubs through Visits: A Guide for Area Directors can guide you through. Submit your Area Director Club Visit reports through District Central no later than November 30 for credit toward the Distinguished Area Program. While only two visits a year are required, clubs may benefit from additional visits and support, so it is recommended that you visit your clubs at least four times per year.

Service Interruption Apology — The launch of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform in May set the stage for exciting opportunities, but created some immediate technical issues that are still being resolved, such as the re-opening of our online store. We feel your frustration, but believe we are getting closer to resolution each week! Continue to check the Service Interruption Updates webpage for the latest maintenance report. We apologize for the lack of timely service, but look forward to recommitting to all of our service standards as soon as possible. We anticipate reopening the online store the third week of October.
