Register for Once in a Lifetime! — Ready to gather with Toastmasters worldwide in centennial celebration? Take a trip to Southern California where it all began 100 years ago. Register now to learn, connect, and take part in the most dazzling communication event on the planet.

Share the Convention Sponsorship Opportunity — Companies and corporate sponsors that showcase their goods/services at the Toastmasters International Convention engage with a professionally-minded global audience. At the 2023 Convention, nearly 70% of attendees even self-identified as making some decisions at work! Share sponsorship information with your professional contacts whose companies would benefit from being a convention sponsor and encourage them to apply!

Let Members Submit Their Own Dues — Self-Pay is an easier way for members to pay! Encourage club officers to give members the option to conveniently submit their international dues payments online. To enable Self-Pay, the officer should log in to Club Central, navigate to the Club Contact and Meeting Information page, select the toggle button in the Self-Pay setting section, and click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

Share Your Centennial Snaps — Every month this year, Toastmasters is introducing a new “100 photos” social media theme to celebrate our centennial. March's theme is all about highlighting club spaces! Join the celebration by tagging Toastmasters in photos you share of club meetings, your club setup, the club lectern/banner, or moments with your fellow members. Follow the fun by using and following the #toastmasters and #Toastmasters100Years hashtags.

Schedule Candidate Talk Time — Have you scheduled a conversation with the international candidates yet? To learn about the candidates, visit the biography pages on the International Officer and Director Candidates on the Toastmasters International website. Then, use this online scheduling form to schedule time to talk.

Add Credit for Club Officer Training — Recognize club officers who attended second-round training by submitting club officer training (COT) through District Central. To ensure the dashboards are updated in a timely manner, it is best to submit COT updates by March 31, 2024. The last day to submit second-round corrections is May 31, 2024. Please check the training report regularly to ensure it is accurate. This will help the clubs in the District receive credit toward the Distinguished Club Program.

Submit Your Area Director Visit Report — Earn credit toward the Distinguished Area program by submitting your Area Director's Club Visit report through District Central on or before May 31. We encourage you to visit your clubs four times during the program year to ensure clubs are well supported. If you would like to reacquaint yourself with club visits, please reference Serving Clubs through Visits: A Guide for Area Directors.

Corporate Recognition Award Nominations Due — The deadline for Corporate Recognition Award nominations is 6-8 weeks prior to your presentation event. Districts scheduled for an official International Officer or International Director District Visit this spring should visit the Corporate Recognition Award program webpage for program information, marketing materials, and to submit the nomination form.

Help Clubs Maintain Good Standing — Remind officers to submit membership dues payments for the next renewal period by March 31 to help their clubs remain in good standing. If clubs in your District are struggling with membership, consider offering them a Club Coach if they qualify.

Find the Right Speakers for the District Conference — One of the most important aspects of planning your conference is selecting educational speakers. Here are a few guidelines to help you get started.

Prepare for Region Quarterfinals — To prepare for your District International Speech Contest and region quarterfinals submission, review the Checklist for District Leaders. This document includes important information and resources that will contribute to a successful online, hybrid, or in person recording that meets the recording requirements outlined in the Speech Contest Rulebook.

Achieve Club Building Success in 2024 — The momentum of a fresh new year is a great time to capitalize on building new clubs in your District! Leverage the tools and resources found in the Club Building Curriculum to keep on track or develop new strategies for meeting your District's goals. Find these resources in your Paths and Learning when you log in to Base Camp.

Centennial Resources for Your Conference — To show your spirit as you prepare for your District conference, you can incorporate new centennial resources developed at World Headquarters that will expand the 100th anniversary of Toastmasters across your event and to members worldwide! Please utilize and have fun with these just-released resources: Centennial Letterhead, Centennial District Conference Agenda, Centennial Flier Template, and From the Toastmasters Vault - Archival Videos Showcase. We hope these resources contribute to a successful conference for your District.

Take Advantage of the Limited Time Closed Club Incentive — The incentive runs through June 30, 2024. In early February, an email was sent to all Districts that provided a list of closed clubs eligible to be reinstated. By taking advantage of the incentive, it will be easier for clubs to return to good standing without having to charter as a new club. If the closed club reinstates, it will count as a new club toward the District Recognition Program. If former club officers are interested in reinstatement, they can contact us by emailing renewals@toastmasters.org to guide them through the process.

You're invited to a Board Briefing — Join International President Morag Mathieson and other Board Members as they share updates for District leaders on March 28. Register now to join us!

International Officer Candidates Nominated — The Toastmasters International Leadership Committee has nominated International Officer candidates. Voting will take place as part of the 2024 Annual Business Meeting in August. Find out more about the nominated candidates by visiting the International Officer and Director Candidates webpage.
