What key strengths do you bring to the District leaders?

A key strength I bring to District leaders is my relationship building skills which fosters trust. To build good relationships you need to care about the other persons needs and want that person to succeed. You need to show respect, be diplomatic, and be able to keep their confidences. When you develop relationship with the District leaders, built on trust, they are more willing to share with you any conflicts or challenges and seek advice. They are more willing to discuss their strategies for the success of their Districts and share goals for District success. Another key strength is my firm belief in the Toastmasters core values. Integrity – always stive to do what is right and just, Respect – we don’t always agree with each other, or maybe even like each other, but we can always be respectful to each other, “Excellence is not being the best but trying your best” a quote I ended every meeting with when I was District Director, and Service – giving selflessly to help better someone else or their situation.

Why are you interested in serving again as a Region Advisor?

I am honored to serve a second term as Region Advisor. In the past year I have developed a strong understanding of how the Region Advisor role can contribute to the success of our Districts and District leaders. I have come to understand that when we focus on our core values, when we focus on the success of our Districts and the District Mission, when we focus on the success of our District leaders, we will continue to achieve success in our organization. During the next Toastmaster year, I want to share the lessons, knowledge and experience I have gained with current and future District leaders. I want to contribute to their success and that of their Districts.
