What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

The Region Advisor provides support and guidance to the Districts in the region to help them fulfill the District mission. They are also the liaison between the Districts and World Headquarters. I have served for three consecutive years in District 55 as Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director, and District Director, and worked closely with Past Region Advisors. I learned from observing them in action and from our region gatherings and training sessions. I have also trained at the District level and have a deep understanding of Pathways, the District Success Plan, motivation, mentoring, and goal achievements. I am also very familiar with the Governing Documents, branding, and Toastmasters resources. Additionally, I have mentored many members and leaders and empowered them to pursue higher goals.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

I coached many co-workers at Command Technology, Temple-Inland, LifeSize, and LiveOak Venture Partners to perform their tasks effectively. I also coached a Girl Scouts co-leader and young boys in a soccer league. In addition, I coached multiple Toastmasters in and outside of my Club to earn their DTM and one club to success. Moreover, I coached my District marketing team in 2017-2018 and trainers in 2018-2019. I have also been coaching a past District Governor to perform effectively at his paid job and an Area Director in Turkey last year and this year in her role as Division Director.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

I have received a lot of support from my fellow Toastmasters, and I want to pay it forward. I am also looking for opportunities to do something meaningful and continue growing and learning. I want to take on new challenges and learn new skills. Moreover, I believe I can make a difference in other Toastmasters' learning experiences and help them realize their goals.
