PRM Communication Plan Updates — Public Relations Managers (PRMs) should continually update their Communication Plan throughout the 2022-2023 program year. The plan helps PRMs to stay organized, delegate responsibilities, and prepare a smooth transition for the incoming PRM. PRMs can access their plan from the Public Relations webpage. If you have any questions or need help getting started with the PRM Communication Plan, please email pr@toastmasters.org.

Encourage New Clubs to Submit Early — More clubs charter in May and June than at any other time, so tell clubs in your District to beat the rush and send in their documents early for timely processing. Direct them to review the How to Build a Toastmasters Club manual or email newclubs@toastmasters.org with any questions.

Schedule Candidate Talk Time — Have you scheduled a conversation with the international candidates? Learn about the candidates by visiting the biography pages on the International Officer and Director Candidates page on the Toastmasters International website. Then, use this online scheduling form to schedule time to talk.

Help Recruit Convention Sponsors — Toastmasters International is now taking applications for convention sponsors at a new rate: all online booths are $500 USD! Final Call for Corporate Recognition Award Nominations — Has your District submitted their Corporate Recognition Award nominations? Eligible Districts must submit nominations by April 15, or six to eight weeks prior to your presentation event, to meet review and shipping deadlines. Find program requirements and criteria, the nomination form, and marketing materials on the Corporate Recognition Award webpage.

Area Directors: Receive Distinguished Credit for Both Visit Rounds — Area Directors must submit reports for 75 percent of their clubs for both rounds of visits to receive credit in the Distinguished Area Program. After each club visit, submit an Area Director's Club Visit Report online through District Central. Round Two visit reports must be submitted by May 31. We encourage you to visit clubs four times during the program year to ensure they are well-supported. Remember that your support affects the future of clubs in the Area and empowers officers and members alike to achieve their goals.

Is Your District on Track to Become Distinguished? — With only three months left in the 2022–2023 District Recognition Program year, the best way to make sure your District is on target is by regularly monitoring the District Performance Reports. To support Districts in building momentum toward success, the District Recognition Program for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 program years is updated as follows:

Distinguished Select Distinguished President’s Distinguished Smedley Distinguished
Paid Clubs No net club loss Net +1 club +3% +5%
Membership +1% +3% +5% +8%
Distinguished Clubs 40% 45% 50% 55%

In addition, the membership requirement is now having either 20 members or a net growth of at least three (3) new, dual, or reinstating members as of June 30. These changes recognize the extraordinary level of dedication and hard work it has taken, and will continue to take, to overcome current obstacles.

Prepare for District Leader Transitions — District elections are right around the corner and managing the transition to the next program year is critical for success. View the Leadership Transition webpage for suggestions on how to begin planning. If you need help, please email the District Leader Support team.
