Get to the Point: Simplify, Sharpen, and Sell Your Best Ideas

Presented Live Friday, August 21, 3:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)/Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) -7

Meet Joel Schwartzberg in person: Friday, August 21, 4:45 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)/Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) -7

Session Description

Many professionals—from scientists and salespeople to CEOs—deliver speeches but fail to convey memorable and meaningful points. Do they miss the mark because they’re “bad public speakers?” No. These communicators fail when they confuse powerful points with vague topics, themes, and observations. Lacking a clear point leads to rambling, audience disengagement, and impact evaporation.

Based on the ideas in his bestselling book, Get to the Point!, Joel Schwartzberg’s interactive presentation will summarize what a point is, how to simplify it, and how to sell it regardless of your field, background, or audience. Learn how to clarify and amplify your messages and make your words matter!
