Biography


Eugenio Jaramillo

Eugenio “Geno” Jaramillo Construction consultant, keynote speaker, author, professor

Eugenio “Geno” Jaramillo is a consultant specializing in construction and engineering, a professional keynote speaker, an author, and a professor at five universities concurrently: Florida International University, Miami-Dade College (West and Wolfson), Volunteer State Community College, and University of Alabama. He is passionate about personal and professional development, training, and sharing his expertise with the next generation of students, professionals, and leaders.

As the director of aviation construction for a South Florida contractor, he created over $600 million (USD) in aviation construction projects.

Jaramillo is a Lifetime Member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). He is also on the Board of Directors of the Brinker Education Initiative. Both non-profit organizations promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in the Hispanic community.

His speaking roster includes presentations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, University of Miami, and Miami-Dade College. He was the keynote speaker at the Florida Engineering Society and has presented at a Speak Up & Move Up workshop for Amadeus, FP&L, NextEra, Medtronic, Microsoft, World Fuel Services, NBC Universal (Telemundo), Perry Ellis, and The Estee Lauder Companies. His widely delivered keynote, “The Top 5 Soft Skills to Boost your Career,” was published on the Construction Management Association of America website.

He earned his DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster), the highest educational award available in Toastmasters International, in his first 39 months. He earned his second one in January 2023.

His first book, #ThePurpleSquirrel SPEAKS…, was launched in 2020 and is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle versions.
