Richard E. Peck, DTM

Richard E. Peck, DTM, of Seymour, Connecticut, was a senior member of the Network Support division at AT&T, where he had worked for over 30 years. During his tenure as a project manager, he led cross-functional teams to successfully deliver several multimillion-dollar high-tech projects annually. His responsibilities also included writing and updating technical and training documents, as well as providing project analysis and solutions. He was also responsible for streamlining processes through the use of Robotic Process Automation.

He earned an MBA in international business at the University of Texas at Dallas. Peck is a certified project management professional by the Project Management Institute. His volunteer work includes serving as club president and Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis International, serving with Lions Club International, as well as serving in various capacities with the Catholic War Veterans. He also enjoys traveling, studying world cultures, and helping others achieve more than they believe they can. Peck was a recipient of the 2018 Presidential Award for Volunteerism.

A Toastmaster for 14 years, Peck has been a member of his home club, Nutmeg in Woodbridge, Connecticut, since 2006 and is also a member of Park City Toastmasters in Stratford, Connecticut. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

Margaret Page, DTM, of Delta, British Columbia, Canada, is an entrepreneur and investor. She is the founder and co-founder of several companies, including Westminster Property Management Ltd., Precision Contractors Ltd., Quality Tire and Treading Ltd., Etiquette Page Enterprises, and Beyond the Page Coaching and Training Ltd.

Page is certified in business management and accounting from Lakeland College, Lloydminster, Alberta. She is also certified in programs such as Parliamentarian, Board Diversity, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Executive Coaching and Cultural Intelligence. As a board member and fund development chair for the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation, Page oversaw an increase in endowments from $400,000 to $1.9 million. Page also served on the Board and Loans Committee of Community Futures of the Sunshine Coast.

As a champion for women in politics, Page has been active over the last decade in supporting, developing, and delivering campaign schools for women in British Columbia and beyond to provide them with the tools to serve at three levels of government – municipal, provincial, and federal.

Matt Kinsey, DTM

Matt Kinsey, DTM, of Coral Springs, Florida, is the CEO of MK Tech Group in Coral Springs, Florida, which he started in 2007. Kinsey oversees all aspects of his IT consulting firm that services small and medium-sized businesses in the South Florida area.

Kinsey holds a master’s degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix, Arizona. He has a certificate in strategic management and was recognized with the Silver Beaver and Vigil Honor awards for his work with the Boy Scouts of America. As a Boy Scout volunteer for 25 years, he has held numerous positions within the organization including district chairman, event chairman, and currently serves as the council’s camping chairman.

A Toastmaster since 2003, Kinsey is a charter member of his home club, Outspoken Toastmasters, in Coral Springs. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

Morag Mathieson, DTM

Morag Mathieson, DTM, of Moehrendorf, Germany, is a self-employed professional development consultant and chair of the Board of the child sponsorship charity Living Water Germany e.V.. Previously, she was the general manager and superintendent pharmacist for Belfast Co-operative Chemists, where she had full professional and business responsibility for a group of pharmacies in Northern Ireland. Her responsibilities included all aspects of strategy, service development and delivery. Additionally, at Alliance Pharmacy, she created new business concepts including continuing professional development for pharmacy professionals.

Mathieson holds a master’s degree in business administration from The Open University in Milton Keynes, England. She served on pharmacy services boards of government departments in both Scotland and in Northern Ireland. She also served on the board of USA Girl Scouts Overseas in Southern Germany, where she was responsible for finance.

A Toastmaster since 2006, Mathieson is a member of her home club, Erlangen Toastmasters in Erlangen, Bavaria. Deepak Menon, DTM

Deepak Menon, DTM

Deepak Menon, DTM, of New Delhi, India, is a chartered accountant at J.P., Kapur & Uberai in New Delhi, where he is one of nine partners. He oversees management and operations, and specializes in international taxation, cross-border taxation, transfer pricing and direct taxes. Menon is also a trustee of the Columban Endowment Trust, a nonprofit organization. Menon is a fellow chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where he also earned a Diploma in Information Systems Auditing.

Menon served as the Chief Coordinator for the Toastmasters’ Youth Leadership program in collaboration with the American Center in New Delhi and helped build communication and leadership skills for approximately 700 underprivileged children in six cities in India. He also served as secretary of St. Columba’s School’s alumni society Old Columbans Association, and in 2006, co-founded the publishing house, Ambi Knowledge Resources Private Limited.

A Toastmaster since 2002, Menon’s home club is Central Delhi Toastmasters. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

Naomi Takeuchi, DTM

Naomi Takeuchi, DTM, of Petaluma, California, works as a consultant for 1000 Cranes Studios, where she has worked for the last 15 years. She specializes in strategic planning and board development services, primarily for nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations. In the past, Takeuchi worked as an instructor at Duke University in their certificate program for nonprofit management. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a master’s degree in business administration.

Takeuchi’s company, 1000 Cranes, was chosen to participate in the National Trademark Expo for its leadership in brand development. Through her consulting work, she has worked with several nonprofit organizations, including the Southeast Association of Rail Shippers, Wilson Community Improvement Association, and The Freedom Center for Social Justice.

A Toastmaster since 2005, Takeuchi’s home club is Next Level Toastmasters in Santa Rosa, California. Karen Lucas, DTM

Karen Lucas, DTM, of San Marino, California, is the chief operations officer for Ashlar Industries, where she has worked for the past eight years. In her role, she helps lead analysis of existing organizational problems and the development of plans for improvement for her clients.

Lucas holds an applied and liberal arts studies degree from Pasadena City College and a project management certificate from the Caltech Center for Technology and Management Education. Her and husband Mark were founding parents of a private, trilingual school teaching in Mandarin, English, and Spanish. Lucas was chosen to co-design the Starbucks Rose Parade float, leading to her 13 year tenue as a White Suiter volunteer for the Tournament of Roses. She volunteers in leadership positions for the Girl Scouts, the BSA Scouts, and Soroptimist International. She is an active member of Yuri’s Night Global and the US Green Building Council.

TK O’Geary, DTM

TK O’Geary, DTM, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, works as a program manager for BAE Systems. Her responsibilities include leading a team of engineers in support of a global $10 billion USD government program, collaborating to develop a complex, integrated multi-agency schedule, and leading risk, issue, and opportunity management. Additionally, she owns and operates the TKO Performance Group, performing services such as facilitating strategic planning, consulting on performance excellence, and conducting data analysis. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

O’Geary was honored with a state traveler award for her work developing a business continuity and contingency plan for a state department of human services. The YMCA recognized her with the Woman on the Move award for volunteer contributions, including her work helping middle and high school students increase their STEM knowledge. Currently, she is a board member in New Mexico MESA, a youth educational organization focused on math, engineering, and science achievement, as well as leadership skill development. She also participates in Tech Trek, an organization that teaches young women technical and social skills.

Harold Osmundson, DTM

Harold Osmundson, DTM, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the owner of First Ascent Consulting, Inc. As a consultant and project lead, he recruits, selects, and trains teammates for projects. He works to establish and maintain processes and standards for teams and vendors, while also creating and communicating technical visions and plans.

Osmundson has a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science. He earned the MediSpend 5-Star Performer award for leading his engineering team on a project for a large customer in the market. In the past, he also earned the 3M Global e-Commerce and IT Leadership awards. Osmundson has volunteered with Second Harvest Heartland, working to end hunger, and with Construct*ium, where he focused on education programs for students developing skills necessary for industry work.

Qayoom holds master’s degrees in computer science and engineering management from the University of New Orleans.

His extensive nonprofit experience includes serving as a board member for the University of New Orleans international alumni association and a member on the information technology advisory committee for Herzing University.

Melissa McGavick, DTM

Melissa McGavick, DTM, of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, is a professional speaker and trainer. She is the owner of McGavick Interactive Training, which was founded in 2004.

McGavick earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications and media studies from Pennsylvania State University. In 2008, she was awarded Business Woman of the Year by the Women’s Business Network of Western Pennsylvania for her excellence and leadership in her profession. The following year, she served as president of the Board of Directors for the same organization.

Sal Asad, DTM

Sal Asad, DTM, of Richmond, Virginia, has over 45 years of corporate experience in strategic planning, customer relationship management, and project management. He has managed and supervised several Department of Treasury projects while working at the Federal Reserve. He attained his project management professional (PMP) certification in 2011.

Asad previously served on the Board of Directors from 2008-2010. He was appointed and served as a Region Advisor for Region 7 from 2013 to 2015.

Roy Ganga, DTM

Roy Ganga, DTM, of Milton, Georgia, is the founder and president of Energize Your Voice, where he coaches and motivates individuals and teams to realize their full potential. He was a finance analytics manager at iHealth Technologies prior to his retirement. He collaborated with leadership across the company, managed four global teams, and more. Ganga was also the regional informatics manager at Aetna. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and information science from Clayton University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Emile Woolf School of Accounting. He is a recipient of iHealth Technologies leadership award and Aetna’s excellence award for exceptional leadership.

Ganga has volunteered his time working as the lead administrator for Citizens Against Suicide. He traveled across Guyana, where the suicide rate was the highest per capita worldwide, and spoke with youth, teachers, and community leaders to help curb the epidemic. He was recognized for his community involvement with suicide intervention.

Stefano S. McGhee, DTM

Stefano S. McGhee, DTM, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, works as the senior manager of DevOps for Harvard Business Publishing. He leads a small team of engineers in ensuring the availability and stability of the organization’s most critical applications, including Harvard Business Review. McGhee earned a master’s degree in military operational arts and sciences from the United States Air Force’s higher education organization.

During his time in school, McGhee earned the International Security Studies Research Award for his work that was of interest to national security. He is a member of the airplane owners and pilots association, where he shares the wonder of flying with children and young adults.

Elizabeth Nostedt, DTM

Elizabeth Nostedt, DTM, of Gothenburg, Sweden, is a project manager with 25 years of experience. Currently, she is a senior project manager with CGI Sweden, where she has worked for the last 12 years. In her role, she manages strategic projects for clients and leads groups that are diverse, global, and digital. She helps her clients function better as a team and is accountable to the Board of Directors, providing status updates on project progress, finances, and risk management assessments.

Nostedt graduated from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with master of business administration, bachelor of economics, and bachelor of education degrees. She helped start the first Toastmasters club in Gothenburg and helped build clubs across Sweden and Europe, helping to create the first District in Europe.

A Toastmaster since 1995, Nostedt’s home club is Saturday Breakfast Speakers in Gothenburg. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

Aletta Rochat, DTM

Aletta Rochat, DTM, of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, is a professional speaker, trainer, and author. She owns Voicing your Potential, a company she founded in 2010.

Rochat has a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Witwatersrand and a diploma in marketing management from the University of South Africa. She also is a certified world class speaking coach. During her time as a student, Rochat was a part of the Rotary exchange program and the Rotary group study exchange. Xtraordinary Women honored her with the woman of the month award in April 2018. Outside of Toastmasters, Rochat serves as a trustee of both the Allegro Trust and The Eden, where she manages funds for both nonprofit organizations.

Lesley Storkey, DTM

Lesley Storkey, DTM, of Peregian Beach, Queensland, Australia, is a trainer and facilitator, working in project management, facilitation, and training. She is the owner of Storkeys’ Team, a company that was founded in 2005.

She earned a bachelor of veterinary science degree from Melbourne University in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. During the 1970s and 1980s, she worked as State President of the Australian Breastfeeding Association, where she helped drive change towards the acceptance of breastfeeding in society. She was a founding member of the Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce.

A Toastmaster since 1990, Storkey’s home club is The Comedy Club in Alexandra Headland. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.

Sudha Balajee, DTM

Sudha Balajee, DTM, of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, works as a chartered accountant, partner, and branch head for S.V Shetty and Associates. She is a professor, teaching accounting and financing at business schools. In 2013, Sudha founded her own company, Golden Inspiration. She earned an accounting degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a master’s degree in education. She has been trained in forensic accounting, fraud prevention, forex, and treasury management. Sudha is an alumnus of IIM Bengaluru and has completed the women’s entrepreneurship program.

Sudha has volunteered her time working as a coordinator for waste management, supporting a non-governmental organization that employs underprivileged women, and educated impoverished children. A Toastmaster since 2010, Sudha’s home club is IIMB Orators Club in Bengaluru. Dorothy Isa Du, of Davao City, Philippines, works for CDU Corporation, a food processing business she started 24 years ago. As the operations manager, she runs the daily operation of the company’s facility.

Du earned a bachelor’s of science degree in biology from Cebu Doctors College in Cebu City. In the past, she has served as the president for both the Food Processors Association of Davao City and the Rotary Club of Davao 2000. She was also a member of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is a chairperson for FoodPad Cooperative .

A Toastmaster since 1998, Du’s home clubs are the Davao PagAsa Toastmasters Club and Durian Toastmasters Club in Davao City. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters.

“Toastmasters creates that perfect environment which helps individuals become better communicators and leaders,” she said. “Because of that, we can become a catalyst for positive change. We can inspire others to become better. We can also be the link that brings people together.”

As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Du is a “working ambassador” for the organization. She works with the Board to develop, support, and modify the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters International in fulfilling its mission.
