Area Directors Visits — Area Directors must submit reports for 75% of their clubs for both rounds of visits to receive credit in the Distinguished Area Program. We encourage you to visit your clubs four times during the program year to ensure they are well supported. Remember that your support effects the future of clubs in the Area and empowers officers and members alike to achieve their goals. After each club visit, submit an Area Director’s Club Visit Report online through District Central. Second-round submissions are due May 31.

Submit Your New Club Documents Early — More clubs charter in May and June than at any other time, so beat the rush and send your new club forms early for timely processing. If you have questions, review the How to Build a Toastmasters Club manual or email newclubs@toastmasters.org.

From Guest to Member — How many visits are reasonable before you ask a recurring guest to officially join? Some clubs have open-ended polices; others allow a set number of visits before a guest is expected to become a member. 2021 International Speech Contest Semifinals — This year, following the region quarterfinal, two contestants from each region will be randomly assigned to one of four International Speech Contest Semifinals, which will be held during the Toastmasters International Convention. The regions for each semifinal have been determined, so be on the lookout for updates regarding who will represent your region!

District Visits — A District visit is the perfect opportunity for an International Officer or Director to help with club-building efforts, corporate recognition visits, and coaching and mentoring your team. Most District visits will happen during the District conference; those Districts that are receiving an official visit for the 2020-2021 program year have been notified by World Headquarters. Any additional requests for visits to District conferences will be considered for the 2021-2022 program year. International Officer and Director Candidates Nominated — The Toastmasters International Leadership Committee has nominated International Officer and Director candidates.
