Plan for Year-End Supply Orders — With the holidays fast approaching, it's important to place your supply orders by Thursday, December 17. All product orders placed by midnight Mountain Time on December 17 will be shipped no later than December 23. Due to the holiday schedule and year-end inventory, all orders received after that date will begin shipping on January 4, 2021. This includes any orders marked for express delivery. California Clubs: File Your 199N — In mid-January, California Club Presidents and Treasurers should be on the lookout for an email from the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) with instructions for e-filing the 199N tax form pertaining to the 2020 tax year. Member Profile — Every Toastmaster has an account on the Toastmasters International website if they provided a valid email when submitting their membership application. When logged into, you will want to click on "Welcome, Name" at the top of the page to access your member profile. In your profile are archives of your past educational awards, offices held, and past product order receipts, along with other records of your Toastmaster journey. If you are unable to log in, please use the Forgot Password tool or email


District Elections Deadlines — Do you know someone that would like to take on a leadership opportunity within your District? If so, encourage them to submit their intent to run for office. Tough Times, Free Path — Toastmasters is showing special appreciation for its members during these difficult times by awarding anyone who renews their membership for the October renewal period by December 31, 2020 with a free Pathways path. Visit your Toastmasters profile, click the “Choose A Path” button, and follow the normal path selection process to redeem your free path before March 31, 2021. Area Directors: Prepare for Second Round Club Visits – Each District must establish and maintain positive, supportive relationships with its clubs. Area Directors play a critical role in creating this relationship through club visits, which are required twice a year to participate in the Distinguished Area Program. Second round of club visits begin December 1 and reports can be submitted upon completion of the club visit. To meet one of the qualifying requirements of the Distinguished Area Program, please log in to District Central and submit an Area Director’s Club Visit Report for at least 75% of the base number of clubs in your area. You can view your progress on the dashboard.


Be Prepared for Mid-Year Training — District Directors, Program Quality Directors, and Club Growth Directors: you will be receiving additional communications about Mid-year Training, including pre-work assignments, in the coming days and weeks. Be sure to attend your Mid-year Training Region Kickoff meeting and schedule time to complete the pre-work prior to the Core Training Days. The more prepared you are, the more you’ll benefit from the experience.
