Calling All Board of Directors Candidates — Would you or someone you know like to be on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors? Refer to the role attributes and responsibilities to see what it takes to qualify to be a candidate. The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent is October 1, so don’t delay!  Watch this informative video from International President Margaret Page.

Ensure Your District is on Track — Keep your District eligible for the Distinguished District Program and maintain access to your District reserve by submitting your Division and Area Directors Training Report and District Success Plan by September 30. Please complete and submit the forms in District Central, and email the District Growth and Support team if you have questions.

Apply Now to Be a Region Advisor — The Region Advisor is instrumental in helping Districts grow through coaching, guiding, training, and collaboration. If you are interested in becoming a Region Advisor, or would like to learn more about this role, visit the Region Advisor webpage. Applications for the 2022-2023 program year are due by September 30.

Appoint Your District Leadership Committee Chair — The District Leadership Committee (DLC) is responsible for nominating candidates for District office, using the procedures set forth in Protocol 9.0: District Campaigns and Elections. As District Director, you are required to appoint your DLC chair no later than November 1, and work with them to appoint your full committee by December 1. If you have any questions, email the District Growth and Support team at districts@toastmasters.org for more information.

Introducing the 2021—2022 Board of Directors — At this year's Annual Business Meeting, the membership of Toastmasters International elected new members to the organization's Board of Directors. Learn more about the International President, International President-Elect, First and Second Vice Presidents, and International Directors who will serve in 2021–2022.

2021 World Championship of Public Speaking ® Winners — We are excited to announce a new World Champion and share the names of the first and second place winners! Verity Price, from South Africa, won first place with their speech, “A Great Read.” Second- and third-place winners were Nitay-Yair Levi, from Australia, with, “Advice for Life,” and Roger Caesar, from Canada, with, “Is It in You?” Congratulations to all three! Learn more and  view the  first-place speech.

New Accredited Speaker — Congratulations to Forrest Tuff, for achieving the Accredited Speaker designation!  This elite title is reserved for those who combine expert knowledge in a particular subject with a mastery of public speaking. If you know members who are interested in the program, share the Accredited Speaker Program Handbook so they can learn about the application process.

New Pathways Level 1 — A new Pathways Level 1 is on its way! This new Level 1 will include four projects: A revised “Ice Breaker,” “Evaluation and Feedback,” and two new projects, “Writing a Speech with Purpose” and “Introduction to Vocal Variety and Body Language.” These projects are designed to introduce fundamental skills that will help members write and deliver effective speeches. This update will also address member feedback regarding project navigation. New Level 1 projects will be available in paths purchased following the release. Learn more  here.
