Missing Renewals? — Has your club submitted member renewal information that is still not reflected on your club’s roster? If your club has submitted payment by wire transfer, this may be the reason for the delay. Please email the wire transfer confirmation (commonly called the SWIFT receipt) to the Finance team at financequestions@toastmasters.org, which will ensure that the funds are allocated to your club; please send only one communication regarding confirmation of the wire transfer.

October Dues Still Accepted Online — Although the October renewals due date has passed, you can still submit dues payments online to keep your club and members in good standing. Log in to Club Central to submit dues online. If you need assistance, please review the Club Central Tutorials. You may also contact Club and Member Support by emailing membership@toastmasters.org.

Digital Guest Packet — Now that many clubs are meeting online and hosting guests, the need for good follow-up has increased. The “Why Toastmasters?” webpage is a great link to include in your email to guests after they visit your club. Guests will find the same information that is in the Guest Packet, including Toastmasters' structure, how they will grow, and details on how to join a club.

Evaluation Resources — Did you know that members have multiple ways to access the evaluation resources needed to complete projects in the education program? These valuable resources can be found when launching a project or in the Tutorials and Resources page on Base Camp in all languages. The English version of these resources can also be found in the Resource Library with just the name of the project—no login required!

Invocations and Pledges — Invocations and pledges are popular ways to open club meetings with an inspirational message. They are usually one or two minutes in length, delivered by a designated club member, and are entirely optional. If your club chooses to open a meeting with an invocation or pledge, always take care to respect the diversity of club members and visitors. Meeting Minutes — One of the main responsibilities of the Club Secretary is to record the meeting minutes. Templates and examples are available on our site for club meetings and Club Executive meetings. If you prefer to not use one of the templates, you can use one of the branded letterhead options.

New Pathways Level 1  — A new Pathways Level 1 is on its way! This new Level 1 will include four projects: A revised “Ice Breaker,” “Evaluation and Feedback,” and two new projects, “Writing a Speech with Purpose,” and “Introduction to Vocal Variety and Body Language.” These projects are designed to introduce fundamental skills that will help members write and deliver effective speeches. Ensure your club sends officers to this training to gain insights that will help the club be successful. Smedley Award 2021 — Contest submissions for the Smedley Award have ended. Please be advised that all notifications regarding clubs that have earned the award will not be posted until late October, due to month-end closing. Login Help — If you or a club member has difficulty logging in, use the Forgot Password feature. This will send an email prompting the member to create a new password. If the member is prompted to reset their password each time they log in, this may be because their contact email address and username aren’t synced. This is an easy fix! The member should log in at www.toastmasters.org, go to their profile, click on Edit Contact Information and Privacy, then click on Sync My Logins. If that doesn’t resolve it, contact membership@toastmasters.org.

Paying Annual Dues Times Two — Paying for two renewal periods (instead of one) is an available option with the assistance of the Club and Member Support team. If members wish to pay for April 2022 now, and they understand that the dues are nonrefundable, club officers can send an email to renewals@toastmasters.org with the member’s name and the request. The Club and Member Support team can then manually create an invoice to be paid in Club Central.
