What key factors are most important as a Region Advisor to help the District achieve success:

Building a rapport with the District leader is key for me as Region Advisor to being able to effectively support my District leaders to achieve success. Without that nothing will work.

As Region Advisor I support, coach, and guide District leaders. District leaders are responsible for their District; therefore, it is important to help them gain clarity of their role and the District mission. I support with identifying personal goals and goals to achieve the District mission. Being there as they navigate the storming phase of team building and support them to manage any conflict, is essential to help them focus on their role and the District mission and goals. Together with the District leaders, inspire others to take on leadership roles within and beyond the District. Support District leaders with their success, marketing, and communication plans drawing on my Toastmasters and business knowledge. I nurture our region community through region gatherings and Facebook group. Utilize my training, facilitation, and coaching skills for District Leader Training and when on official visits. Listen to our leaders and tailor my support to their needs while staying true to the role of Region Advisor.

What key strengths do you bring to the District leaders?

My top three strengths are strategic, futuristic, and learner. I feel that all three are of value to the District leaders I am working with. As a futurist I see what is possible, I am optimistic who looks for and sees opportunities and possibilities. During these COVID times, this is proving to be essential in supporting the leaders as it gives them hope and belief that in creating a brighter future for their District. My strategic and learner strengths provide a foundation for identifying paths to achieving their goals.

As a coach I am trained in supporting individuals and teams to find their solutions and uncover their answers – their truth. When they discover their solutions and answers, they grow as leaders.

All of these strengths and skills support me when working with individual leaders and teams on a daily basis.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

My calling in life is to help others unlock their true path and live the life they are meant to live. It would be an honor to continue to work with our District leaders as they walk their leadership path, supporting them in achieving their goals, and growing as leaders. Each leader is unique, and their journeys, while occasionally similar, will be exclusively their own.

I am a learner at heart and continuing as Region Advisor will allow me to consolidate and apply my learnings from the role to date. I am keen to further stretch my coaching/mentoring skills including conflict resolution and mediation.

I feel I can do more in the space of inspiring future leaders at both the District and International level. I would like to build on the region support team initiative more including establishing a team for the new term.
