What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?
I am qualified and prepared to fulfill the expectations of the Region Advisor role. I read and comprehend the Region Advisors Handbook and Policy and Protocol 10.0. I would like to share my experience and knowledge gained during my District leadership journey, including my Immediate Past District Director term, to enrich other District leaders as we transition into the "new normal" and to expect the unexpected with an open mind, flexibility, and curiosity.
What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?
I formally coached seven clubs, performed as a Pathways Ambassador and Guide, completed the Pathways Mentor Program, and provided training sessions each year for Club Sponsors, Mentors and Coaches. As a District leader, I coached our committees and other District leaders. I also served as a mentor to members, as well as District leaders, and currently serving as a mentor to our current District 29 leadership team and four club members.
Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?
I believe that serving as a Region Advisor is my next level of growth in my Toastmasters journey. My desire is to give back to an organization that has enriched my life by continuing my efforts working the Toastmasters mission to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. I want to humbly contribute where I can, to help our Districts effectively achieve their mission. I understand that with diversity comes innovation and I am looking forward to learning how each District operates in my area of responsibility to help communicate best practices and innovations that the other Districts could consider.
