Airport Information

Washington, D.C. is serviced by three airports. Almost all major domestic and international airlines can be found at one of the three airports below:

Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA)
Located approximately 4 miles south of Washington D.C.
Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Located approximately 26 miles west of Washington D.C.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Located approximately 30 miles north of Washington D.C.

Entering the United States

Documents required for International Travelers
A non-U.S citizen entering the U.S. is required to present a passport and a valid visa issued by a U.S. Consular Official, unless he or she is a citizen of a country eligible for the Visa Waiver Program, or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or a citizen of Canada. To obtain a list of countries eligible for the Visa Waiver Program, please visit the Department of State website

If you require a Letter of Invitation for entry into the U.S., please submit a request.

Airport Ground Transportation

Toastmasters International has partnered with SuperShuttle to provide a cost-effective shared-ride service between the three local airports and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC. The shared-ride service guarantees no more than four stops on the way to/from the Marriott.

Area Transportation

Metro
Metrorail and Metrobus are the safest, cleanest and most efficient ways to get around Washington, D.C. For details, visit www.washington.org and click on Getting Around.

DC Circulator
As mentioned above, another easy and economical option is to ride the DC Circulator. The Circulator’s buses offer low floors, big windows and multiple doors for easy on-and-off service.
