Accommodations
Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza and Hyatt Regency Cincinnati offer convention attendees a special room rate of $139 a night (plus applicable taxes), based on availability.
The hotels are connected by a skywalk system, with access to the Convention Center and the Carew Tower shopping and dining complex. The estimated walk time to the Convention Center from either hotel is 5–10 minutes. Shuttle service will not be provided.

To receive the discounted rate, you must make your hotel reservation by July 26, 2013. If you make a reservation by phone, be sure to tell the reservation agent you are attending the Toastmasters International Convention.
Visas for Convention
Before traveling to the United States from another country, you may be required to obtain a U.S. visa. One of the documents required when applying for a visa is a letter of invitation that explains the purpose of the trip and provides the dates of travel.
If you need this letter to travel to the convention in August, please email your request now to conventionregistration@toastmasters.org so it can be provided in time. If your country requires an original letter (as opposed to an electronic copy), please request that it be mailed to you.
Airport Transportation
The Duke Energy Convention Center and surrounding hotels are located approximately 14 miles (20 minutes) away from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). Please note that airport shuttle service is not offered through either hotel.

Convention Attire
Business or casual attire is appropriate for events held during the day. Business attire, semi-formal and formal attire are appropriate for the Golden Gavel Dinner and President’s Dinner Dance. Average temperatures in August range from daytime highs in the 80s to low 60s at night. Temperatures inside the meeting rooms may vary, so please plan accordingly.
