What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?

Hone probing and listening skills which helps in being able to ask the right questions leading to a strategic response Manage team members on outcomes/results, not only on method (s) used in problem-solving; policy development Allow team members to contribute to the decision-making process as this helps to create “buy-in” Affirm and build credible relationship with team members which is fundamental to conflict management

What experience and key strengths would you bring to the Board of Directors?

am convinced about the value and power of Toastmasters in influencing communication and leadership roles: I successfully developed policies and strategies at club and district levels and senior management level outside of Toastmasters; in my role as Youth Minister and Branch Manager, I interact with millennials and have strong, mutual respect and trust relationships. I have a good understanding on how to direct and guide policies to support this age group.

Why do you want to serve as an international officer/director?

I believe in the Toastmasters story and as a beneficiary of its gifts, I want to continue preserving and expanding the mission and commitment of Toastmasters International in the quest to enhance global mastery of communication and leadership skills in their varying forms; support strategic planning in policy development - fostering cultural awareness and adaptability by engaging the various cultural groups and to continue serving my fellow Toastmasters members in another capacity.
