• Training sessions begin at 8 a.m. and take place all day on Monday and Tuesday.

As per Policy 8.3: District Leader Expenses, district governors attending the International Convention each receive a per diem (not exceeding $120) when the district governor attends the Candidates’ Corner, Candidates’ Showcase, and the Annual Business Meeting. Receive your per diem at District Leader Training registration. Register for the convention online and you’ll automatically receive one complimentary basic convention registration and one complimentary President’s Dinner Dance ticket.

World Headquarters reimburses district and lieutenant governors’ travel costs for District Leader Training (air, bus, train or mileage). See the below information and Toastmasters’ Policy 8.3: District Leader Expenses for more details. In an effort to help us prepare your travel reimbursement, please send an email to districts@toastmasters.org to let us know what method of travel you will be taking: (1) Toastmasters International travel vendor; (2) other airline; (3) driving; or (4) carpool-non-driver.

World Headquarters reimburses only the driver for mileage at the Internal Revenue Service business-standard rate ($0.565 cents per mile). Mileage reimbursement may not exceed the lowest airfare rate. You must drive via the most direct route. With your reimbursement form, submit a MapQuest or Google Map that lists mileage from your destination to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Through its preferred travel provider, World Headquarters approves and pays for the lowest available coach-class flight at the time of purchase.

Hotel accommodations and any other travel-related expenses (such as baggage fees) are the responsibility of the district leader. Your district may cover hotel and other travel expenses if the cost is accounted for in the district budget. To reserve your room, visit www.toastmasters.org/travel.
