  • Reminder for California Club Treasurers

    California-based clubs are required to file the 199N e-postcard with the Franchise Tax Board by November 30, 2011. Please submit the confirmation page to 199N@toastmasters.org after it has been filed.

  • Semiannual Clubs: Update Your Officer Lists Online

    If your club elects officers twice a year, it's time to hold officer elections for your next term. It's easy to log in and submit your club officer list online. To receive on-time credit, submit your list by December 31.

 
  • Attention District Treasurers: Is Your Report Past Due?

    The Quarter One Treasurer's Report was due to World Headquarters by October 31. If you haven't submitted your report, please do so today. If you need assistance, contact districtfinancialreports@toastmasters.org.

  • Area Governor Reporting Requirement

    Area Governor's Club Visit Report forms are due by November 30 and can be submitted online. A copy of the completed document will automatically be sent to your district leaders and club president.

  • Attention LGETs: Club Officer Training Report Deadline

    The district lieutenant governor education and training is responsible for recording all club officer training online so that clubs receive credit toward their training goal in the Distinguished Club Program. The deadline for any additions or changes to the June through August training information is November 30.

  • Mid-year Training for District Leaders

    Mid-year Training will be held in January at seven locations around the world. These training sessions will teach district and lieutenant governors the skills they need to be successful. For dates, locations, travel information and more, visit the Mid-year Training webpage.

 

Update Your Club Website

If your club is among the thousands that use FreeToastHost, your website can easily be updated with the new branding elements by following the Club Website Setup Guide. Toastmasters International also provides templates for WordPress, Google and Joomla as well as branded mastheads to use with other website platforms. Visit toastmasters.org/freewebsites for more information. Be sure to follow the brand manual when designing your website and expire older websites that you are replacing. 

 

 

International Officer Candidate Surveys

On November 1, a survey will be sent to current district governors, asking their preference of the declared officer candidates. This is your opportunity to participate in shaping the future of Toastmasters International with strong leaders. Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the international officers will help you in your decision-making process. Look for an email from ToastmastersIOCS@singerlewak.com.

 

Realignment Planning - It's Never Too Early!

Current district governors should begin thinking about club alignments for 2012-2013. The chair of your nominating committee has recently been selected, so why not appoint the chair of your alignment committee, too? Be sure your committee reviews the alignment webpage, and provide them with a current club directory.

 

Updated PRO Training Resources

The public relations officer training webinar and PowerPoint presentation have been temporarily removed from the Toastmasters website. You will be notified when they are available again. Meanwhile, please visit www.toastmasters.org/PROJob for other PR resources.

Expecting a District Visit from Your Region Advisor?

District visits are an opportunity for region advisors and district leaders to work together so that more people can benefit from the Toastmasters program. Your district may be visited soon by a region advisor to help improve the quality and performance of your clubs. Be sure to prepare for your district visit.

 

Digital Magazine Language Translations

The digital edition of the Toastmaster magazine can be viewed in different languages. Simply click on the title of the article you wish to translate. A new webpage will open, and at the top right corner you'll find "change language" within a drop-down box that allows you to select the language of your choice.

New Brand Resources

Updated resources were recently added to the Virtual Brand Portal, including A4-size documents, standard international-size business card templates and advertising art. Take advantage of these tools to help your club and district portray a consistent brand in your messaging.
