June 30 Deadline for Distinguished Club Program (DCP)

Your club still has time to meet those last few DCP goals! Make sure the online DCP report accurately reflects your club's accomplishments. If you find discrepancies, please contact Member Services will help ensure your club receives the credit it deserves.

Who Won Your District Speech Contest?

Attention, lieutenant governors education and training (LGETs): Please submit your winners' names on the Monday following your district's International Speech Contest. Send your Report of District International Speech Contest Winner form to or send an email to the same address if you need another copy of the form. The Educational Development and Training department emailed the form to LGETs on March 18.

Plan Now for Year-End

June 14 is the last day for district officers to place supply orders and to access the district reserve account for the 2012-2013 program year. Accounts for the 2013-2014 program year will be accessible to incoming district leaders beginning July 1. Please contact if you have any questions.

Please Submit Financial Documents by July 15

Incoming district leaders are asked to complete and submit the District Signature Form and all related signatory documents required by your bank to by July 15. The District Signature Form and many other useful financial resources are available at the District Finance Corner.

District Reporting: July 15

District governors (DGs) must submit the following items to by July 15 to maintain access to their reserve account and place supply orders: (1) the district leader list, (2) a direct link to your online calendar of events, and (3) area and division alignment changes. DGs will soon receive an email from District Services explaining how to submit alignment changes for the 2013-2014 program year.

District Governors: Preorder District Supplies

What supplies will your district need? Each year, DGs have the convenience of preordering supplies and picking up their packaged orders at the Convention Store. Information for placing orders will be emailed to DGs in early July.

Submit Award Applications Online for Faster Service

Toastmasters International receives more member award applications in June than at any other time of the year. As a result, members who apply for awards this month may experience a delay in receiving their certificates. To avoid delays, log in to Club Central to submit award applications online.

Help prospective members find your meeting location by updating your club information. Simply log in to Club Central and enter the current contact information for your club, including a phone number and an email address.

Get Ready for District Leader Training!

District Leader Training will be held August 19-20 at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, prior to the 2013 Toastmasters International Convention. Plan to arrive no later than Sunday, August 18, ready to begin on Monday morning. Please submit your list of incoming district leaders to to receive pertinent details about travel arrangements and covered expenses. You will be assigned pre-work to help you get the most from your training experience. More details regarding the pre-work will be emailed in July.

Who is Your Club's Proxyholder?

Toastmasters clubs hold the most important voting power in the organization. On May 9, club presidents and secretaries received an email from World Headquarters about proxy information for the Annual Business Meeting on August 24 at the International Convention. Make sure your club appoints someone to carry its vote to the meeting. District governors: Please follow up with club leaders and encourage them to designate their proxies if a club member will not be in attendance. For details, visit

Cast Your Vote for Proposal A

Delegates attending the convention will have the opportunity to cast their club's vote regarding Proposal A: Amendments to the Club Constitution and the Standard Bylaws for Clubs of Toastmasters International. June is the final month for members to participate in the 1+1 membership-building program. Invite your friends, family and colleagues to join a club today! Visit the 1+1 webpage for free marketing materials to help you inspire potential members. The top 20 clubs and top five districts that gain the most new members through the program will be announced July 22.

Early-Bird Convention Registration Ends July 26

Attend the 2013 Toastmasters International Convention, the most anticipated event of the Toastmasters year. Register by July 26 to take advantage of the early-bird discount rate. Hotel reservations are offered at a special rate through July 26, based on availability.
