See You at Mid-year Training
The first weekend of Mid-year Training was a huge success! District governors and lieutenant governors: If you have not yet attended Mid-year Training, you have something to look forward to. You will build on the training you received at the International Convention in Las Vegas. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones.
Audit Committee Guidelines Now Available
District treasurers: Be sure to review the Audit Committee Guidelines at the District Finance Corner. Please provide your audit committee with supporting documentation for July-December 2011 and printed reports from the district accounting system's Audit Dashboard. Doing this will enable the committee to complete the Mid-year Audit Treasurer's Report by February 15.
Mid-year Audit Update
To help districts complete their Mid-year Audit Treasurer's Report, World Headquarters added two new Audit Dashboard tabs to the district accounting system. District treasurers, please print out all eight reports from the two dashboards and submit them with supporting documentation to your audit committee. If you have questions, please email districtfinancialreports@toastmasters.org.
District Campaigns and Elections
Attention district governors: By now your nominating committee is looking for 2012-2013 district officer candidates. Be sure to follow the correct procedures and review the elections section of the District Leader Resources webpage as well as Toastmasters International's Protocol 9.0.
Area Governors: Help Clubs Update Their Branding
Before you visit a club, check its website for the new Toastmasters look. When you visit, see if club officers use branded agendas, name-tent cards and fliers. If they are not, point officers to the brand portal that provides free stationery templates and tools for updating club websites. For brand-related questions, email brand@toastmasters.org.
Conference Supplies
Districts can order conference materials from the Toastmasters Online Store, such as name badges, welcome ribbons and certificate holders. View this flier for more information.
How to Honor Your Corporate Sponsors
Take the opportunity to help your corporate clubs honor their sponsoring organizations with Toastmasters sponsor awards. It's easy to do: Present an award to a sponsor representative while hosting a district visit. To ensure timely delivery of the award, please allow at least four weeks for processing and delivery. For more information, read the Guide to Corporate Visits.
