Keep Them Coming

Expecting a TI Officer
or Director Visit?
Follow these guidelines on the updated district visit Web page and make your VIP visit a success.
Beginning in December:
Second Club-Officer Training
Be sure to promote and market second club-officer training as a vital means to develop leaders. Remind club leaders that officer training is one of the goals in the Distinguished Club Program.
Mid-year District
Leader Training
World Headquarters provides essential training to help you succeed as a district leader. In January and February, seven mid-year training sessions will be held for the 14 regions. Participants found the District Leader Training held in August in Palm Desert to be beneficial. You will build on that foundation during Mid-Year Training!

Make the Most of the CL Manual
Interest in building leadership skills is on the rise: CL awards increased nearly 30 percent over the past year. Great club leaders make sure that new members get credit in the Competent Leadership manual from the first time they perform a meeting role. Don't forget to make sure all your efforts get credit too - perhaps in the High Performance Leadership program.
Have You Seen the New Product Guide?
Recently, all club presidents received the new Toastmasters Product Guide (Item 1205) in the mail. Soon, district leaders will receive it as well. To order an extra copy or download the PDF, visit www.toastmasters.org/1205.
Web Site Improvements Are on the Way - Online Store Will Be Down
From December 16 to January 3, 2011, the Toastmasters Web site will undergo an upgrade. Because of the improvements being made, the online store and the ability to post club officer lists will not be available. Plan ahead and complete your transactions early. Please note that the deadline for club officer lists has been extended to January 14, 2011, as a result of the upgrade.
The Ralph C. Smedley Memorial Fund:
Acknowledge the Help You've Received
With the year coming to a close, it's the traditional time for giving gifts. Consider giving to the Smedley Fund. Your generosity will help others gain the same benefits you've enjoyed from Toastmasters. It's also a great way to honor a special event or person in your life. Through this fund, Toastmasters can continue to offer the best approaches to communication and leadership at an affordable cost.
