Calling All Presenters
Toastmasters International is looking for experienced and dynamic speakers interested in presenting at the 2011 International Convention in Las Vegas. Speaking slots are available for the communication and leadership education sessions and the keynote. To be considered, applicants must complete a Convention Speaker Submission form and provide a video sample. If you know someone who is not a member of Toastmasters but would be a good fit, please let him or her know about the submission process.

For any leaders responsible for promoting their district or club, there’s a new tool for you. The M/PR Newsletter is a helpful resource filled with valuable tips and ideas that support your efforts. Marketing and PR officers at club and district levels will receive the newsletter quarterly by e-mail. It’s also available to view anytime on the Toastmasters Web site.

Help Your District Grow with a Club Extension Chair
Your district can assign a club extension chair to assist the district governor and lieutenant governor marketing with new club leads. World Headquarters often receives contacts from prospective club members and forwards these leads to districts within 48 hours. A club extension chair can help you to contact leads promptly. To add a club extension chair, send a request to
districts@toastmasters.org anytime. After your request is received, new club leads are forwarded to your district governor, lieutenant governor marketing and club extension chair.
 

How Your Groups Can Raise Money
The Toastmasters program is designed to be self-supporting through club dues. However, it may be necessary for clubs, areas, divisions and districts to raise funds to offset costs for educational sessions and to further the purpose of Toastmasters International.
