Michael Notaro, DTM
Second Vice President

Michael Notaro, DTM, is an attorney and owner of the law firm Roveda and Notaro, LLP, in Alameda, California. He’s also a licensed real estate broker.

Before opening his law practice, he was the president of Phoenix Commercial Realty for 10 years. He earned his law degree by taking four years of night classes at San Francisco’s Golden Gate University School of Law.

Notaro joined Toastmasters during his senior year at the University of California, Berkeley, to learn some techniques for delivering a graduation speech. He was immediately impressed by the program and the way it improved the members' self-confidence.

“Toastmasters has increased my fun, confidence and people skills,” says Notaro, a 21-year-member of the Oakland City Center club in Oakland, California.

Notaro has volunteered for such groups as the Kiwanis Club, his church, the Special Olympics and the Federalist Society. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys swimming, hiking and Tai Chi.
