As a director on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Mary G. Russell is a “working ambassador” for the organization and represents it in a variety of capacities. She works with the Board to develop, support and modify the policies and procedures that guide the organization toward fulfilling its mission.
A resident of Temple City, California, Russell has been a Toastmaster since 2000 and has attained the Distinguished Toastmasters designation – the highest level of achievement in the organization. Her many leadership positions in the organization include division governor, lt. governor marketing, lt. governor education and training, and district governor.
Russell is a member of the Friends Toastmasters club in Culver City, California.
The founder and president of The Grady Group, a human resources company, Russell has also volunteered her business expertise to organizations such as Big Brother Los Angeles, Feed the Children, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) and the Los Angeles Center for Non-Profit Management. She credits Toastmasters with increasing her confidence and improving her life. “The programs offered at Toastmasters will work for anyone who invests the time to get the most out of them,” she says.
Russell loves to travel, enjoys seeing movies and spending time with her three cats -- Daiquiri, Tequila and Merlot.
