As a director on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Ken Cawley is a “working ambassador” for the organization and represents it in a variety of capacities. He works with the Board to develop, support and modify the policies and procedures that guide the organization toward fulfilling its mission.
A resident of Stockton, California, Cawley has been a Toastmaster since 1990, when he joined to improve his classroom presentation skills. He belongs to the High Spirits of Toastmasters and San Carlos Belmont clubs. He has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation – the highest level of achievement in the organization. His many leadership positions within Toastmasters have included division governor, lt. governor education and training, and district governor.
A customer training manager with the San Jose-based company, Echelon, he also provides technical and training support at San Jose, California’s, annual Cinequest Film Festival. “The Toastmasters leadership opportunities I’ve experienced have been life-changing at both personal and professional levels,” he says.
Cawley’s 25 years’ professional experience in international marketing and training management have provided him the world view needed for an organization such as Toastmasters International and the leadership skills necessary to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
