Term of Office: 2009-2011

As a director on the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Emmy Hager is a “working ambassador” for the organization and represents it in a variety of capacities. She works with the Board to develop, support and modify the policies and procedures that guide the organization toward fulfilling its mission.

A resident of Auburn, Washington, Hager has been a Toastmaster since 1992 and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation – the highest level of achievement in the organization. Her many leadership positions within Toastmasters have included lt. governor education and training as well as district governor.

Hager is a member of four clubs: Seattle International, VM-Azing Toastmasters, Pursuing Perfection and Sunnuppers.

A human resources manager for Crothall Services Group in Seattle, Washington, Hager is also active in trade associations such as the Society of Human Resource Management and the Lake Washington HR Association and volunteers in her church and community. Hager brings to the Board a “big picture” mentality, as well as experience in strategic planning and policy creation. “In my professional development, my promotions and opportunities directly resulted from the Toastmasters program,” Hager says. “Confidence in delivering information clearly and successful goal achievement are skills I learned in our organization.”

Her interests include cooking, singing, writing music and high-energy activities she can share with others. She says, “I’ve been enriched and blessed by my Toastmasters friendships.”
