Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a region advisor:

As a manager, I was responsible for mentoring and coaching others to achieve organizational success. I have experience working with teams and leading them to the implementations of successful projects. It is my contention that these skills were transferable in my role as a district leader and a region advisor. Additionally, I have experience as an adjunct college instructor. This experience has been and will continue to be beneficial in training district leaders.

What key strengths do you bring to the district leaders?

My past experiences have enabled me to hone my leadership and communication skills. I have an uncanny ability to lead and motivate others. I understand the importance of setting and working towards achieving a vision. I have exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills. Building existing clubs with membership and chartering new clubs are important aspects of our organization. I have experience in teaching others how to build clubs through methods to increase membership. As a Division Governor, my district saw a 16.83% growth in membership and 9.38% increase in new clubs.

Why are you interested in serving as region advisor?

I desire to serve as a region advisor so that I can share my experiences, skills, and talents with other leaders to help them achieve success. I have had a lot of positive experiences in all aspects of district leadership. While I am knowledgeable of the Toastmasters program, I hope to work with other district leaders in helping them develop solid marketing and district success plans and programs that are effective for their members. Performing as a region advisor will help me grow personally and professionally while affording me an opportunity to continue serving as an Ambassador for Toastmasters.
