How does your experience relate to Toastmasters and the region advisor role:

Serving in the three district leadership roles has prepared me to be the optimal candidate to support Region 8 to earn distinguished district status or better through organizational skills, team building, and supportive strategy. In my professional career, I am involved with training and mentoring of new employees, as well as both internal and external customers, on various business-related initiatives

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams? What key strengths do you bring to the district leaders?

I coached and mentored co-workers within my company to improve their communication skills and help facilitate business conference calls more effectively. My communication skills are an asset to the team while developing my own professional goals. I can explain complex concepts and ideas to individuals at all levels. I can teach and coach others how to speak with confidence and candor, while being respectful when there is a difference of opinion.

Why are you interested in serving as region advisor?

With my tenacity to get things done, I am the right person to serve. I want to continue to grow within the Toastmasters program and this is an opportunity for me to share my extensive knowledge and expertise, as well as provide guidance and support to the district leadership teams to help them succeed. I’m excited for the opportunity to serve as a region advisor and continue to develop my leadership skills beyond what I've learned so far. The opportunity will broaden my experience well beyond my comfort zone and challenge any complacency.
