How does your experience relate to Toastmasters and the region advisor role:

I believe in the Toastmasters program and encourage consistent and ongoing marketing. I am committed to member retention, building new clubs, and supporting strong and challenged clubs. All members should experience the feeling of success with quality programs in their clubs.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams? What key strengths do you bring to the district leaders?

I served as District Club Coach Chair and as a club coach for several years, and have provided training at TLI. Many of the trained coaches helped the clubs achieve distinguished status for the first time. I use the same coaching skills to motivate district leaders and members to achieve their potential and find the right skills that work more effectively.

Why are you interested in serving as region advisor?

I have enjoyed serving as region advisor and have handled many challenges during my term. The districts have appreciated my support and respect my role. All eight districts that I serve requested a region advisor visit; I completed six visits before convention. Early visits enabled a strong start on their goals. All districts were not Distinguished last year and are highly motivated to be Distinguished or better this year. I want to expand the leverage of my support with district leaders a second term because each of them has unique circumstances; I want to help them build successful long-term relationships and focus on the district mission .
