How does your experience relate to Toastmasters and the region advisor role:

I have great experience in delivering educational sessions, both in Toastmasters and in a work environment. My work as an International Project Manager has given me the experience to be sensitive to cultural differences and to find the best in people. My additional experience as a coach has helped me develop powerful questions to unlock wisdom and knowledge within people. My further training in Neuro-linguistic programming has grounded me and helped me to develop training sessions that meet all the learning styles of every type of “student.”

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams? What key strengths do you bring to the district leaders?

I have been coaching for a number of years in my work as a project manager and I wanted to be better at it, so I took several years of coaching-related skills programs to eventually reach my coaching certification. I have further educated myself in additional coaching styles and techniques. I am continuously coaching my project team at work, and our Area team and club teams, to help people achieve excellence.

Why are you interested in serving as region advisor?

I had so much fun in the region advisor role for the 2013-2014 term that I would like to do it again. I believe that my earlier experience will also help me to be a better region advisor: I have developed even more skills, including more humility and authenticity, and the ability to coach others better.
